A more attractive wind mill design has been made for rural and urban environments. It is pretty cool and definitely eco-friendly. One of these towers can provide 25-30% of the electricity needed to run a house!
Because image is monumentally important to our society, I think if we had attractive means of energy saving tools, more would jump to using them. Because they are not popular at the moment, I think it will take awhile before we're all fully environmentally friendly to our planet.
