When I was searching for things to blog about, I found Pentomino, which are shapes each made of five squares attached to each other in varying ways. The blocks are then tiled on a plane to create really interesting and stimulating patterns.

The building blocks

A few basic designs

They really remind me of Tetris, mostly.

The site is really cool because it tells you how many solutions there are for each size. The possibilities seem endless!

My grandpa made one of those puzzles and it is very difficult. I think there are over 1000 solutions.

I like the r but that o makes no sense at all. Some of the shapes are really interesting but too many repeat eachother [f and r, i and o, etc]
