I often see people with compass tattoos which was a design image in our reading this week. As a person with no tattoos, I am interested in other people's ink. That image you posted was pretty cool.

I know lots of folks with math tattoos actually (not a big surprize since I went to graduate school in math). Pi is pretty popular (both the symbol and the digits). The so-called "god equation" e^(pi*i)=1 is popular as well. There's some other nice ones here and a nice fractal one here if you scroll down past some of the computer-related tats.

I would love to see a designer willing to tattoo themselves with this for referencing.

That would be a rather impressive piece of body art.

You might run into an issue of where to place such a tatoo! For readability, I'd suggest your back, but then only your friends and colleagues could make use of it :)

A friend of mine actually got this as her first tattoo. Its on the bottom of her ribs on her torso. She made it unique in along the curve of the shape, she added a lady bug. Its her favorite insect in the world.
