And, for those of you interested in kinetic sculpture, the MIT Museum has one of my very favorite exhibits anywhere -- it's a permanent exhibit of arthur ganson's work. Also, Ann Hirsch at AIB does some great work!

These kinectic sclptures are really cool and interesting. I found that many artists such as Anthony Howe used rosette patterns to construct their sculptures and symmetry is very important in the construction. In turn, the sculpture is asymmetrically balanced and built on a three-point axis. This causes the work to appear to move when force is exerted on it such as wind. COOL
